Spend a relaxing day at African Dawn and immerse yourself in the tranquil surroundings of the park. African Dawn has over 250 species of birds indigenous to South Africa and further afield. Say hallo to the numerous parrot species and listen to the calls of the elusive Knysna Lourie and other bird species. African Dawn is also home to Cheetahs, monkeys, caracal, squirrels, mongoose, meerkats, crocodiles as well as numerous buck species.
There are several braai and picnic spots located around the park, just bring your own food and drink. They also have a restaurant that serves light meals.

Get the children to feed the free roaming birds such as the Guinea fowl, peacocks and chicks.
African Dawn is situated near Thornhill just off the N2 between Jeffreys Bay and Port Elizabeth.
Take exit 702 (Hankey/Thornhill) off the N2 and take the R102 towards Jeffreys Bay. Follow the road signs towards African Dawn.
